Welcome to the first era! The Era of the Pleiades. Marking our first launches and our foundations as a team as we look to the stars. With this in mind, we believed using the name of one of the oldest recorded star clusters would perfectly symbolize our beginnings. Just like our ancestors who first recorded the star cluster nearly 4,000 years ago, we will build on what we learn, solve one problem at a time till we reach the stars.
As such, our patch displays the seven main stars in the Pleiades with five of them suspended in blue interstellar gas representing the program’s five founding team members.
The Pleiades Program will hold all of our certification attempts made by Dark Works team members who attempt a Level 1 High Powered Rocketry certification flight.
